Rhythm Of The Cornfield Poem by douglas lewis

Rhythm Of The Cornfield

Leaves like tongues
That lap the rain
And wiggle drops
To stem.
In sun, their shadows
Play to rustled songs
In tasseled light
And web.
The cobs of corn
Erect in dance
Excited by the silk.
