cynthia, i have already seen your fondness for rhyme, and you do it well. but i wonder that you haven't recognized poetry in the psalms or in isaiah, in haiku or the work of early chinese poets, in the blank verse of shakespeare's plays... rhyme and regular meter do help in remembering. but one could argue that where people are literate, the printed page makes memorizing, at the very least, less necessary. -glen
