Rhenish Rhapsody Poem by Alyx True Edge

Rhenish Rhapsody

Rating: 5.0

Misty fingers extend from my forceful streams or
as if the birth of clouds was Neptune's matter

Reaching out for all the rusty ships passing by
melting away their keels in my fuming waters

From gladdening glaciers, through glowering glens
and glinting glades along my sides,
planing into Northern shores

a glob into global waters
a vital line for so many

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

2) the repetion of the 'g' syllable in the second and third stanzas is superb. enjoyed. In Sanskrit poetry, this trope is celebrated as 'ANUPRASAM'...

Thank you dear fellow poet, I am happy to read you enjoyed this g-experiment. Also, I learned from you many things, today one more thing: Malayalam 'Anuprasam' for alliteration, thank you.

the misty fingers of the my forceful streams...the rusting keels of greed, the gladdening glaciers..the global waters turn into 'a vital line' for everyone..Good
