Review By A Friend Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Review By A Friend

I traveled her like she was a trip
My bag filled with every intention of a good vacation
I slept on the bare floor of her insecurities & anxieties
Far east where I woke up with a sore hip.
This was a side of her that wasn't shownAs one of the highlights of a place you'd like to visit.
To me it was better than going to the Bahamas.
Her lips were a scotch on the rocks
An international passport recognized anywhere
By anyone.
Whether you were able to get there before the crowd
Or you found a place to settle in when it became busy.
Even so it's best not to judge a cover by its book
One of the many places everyone comes to have a good time.
The many tours gone mountain side
through the trails of her mind.
When most people see her they think of the places
Everyone frequents.
The overcrowded theaters and the streets that make her
So attractive.
When I got here I really didn't know what to expect.
To be honest, I am glad that I didn't stay downtown.
Not too say that it wouldn't have been fun.
It's the side of her she normally travels alone
That's really worth the trip.
One of the best vacations I've ever been on
My hip hasn't been right ever since
