Reversed Poem by Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Mumin

Reversed

Rating: 5.0

Grandpa tells me it used to be simple
He would go on and on, that it used to be peaceful
Man, was so greedy and too hopeful
This brought about inventions, amazing and wonderful
It also came with a price that is very harmful
You wake up in the morning and you're buried in buildings
You cannot even see a clear field because of the blockings
Everything is difficult, even breathing
Grandpa has left me thinking and imaginating
Was life once the way he describes? Because that feeling
You wake up in the morning and drink from the oasis
Walking on the large fields and enjoying the smell of the lilies
and roses
Peacefuly thinking about what life really poses
Gently arranging the scattered pieces
Life was peaceful but now in pieces
Life and peace
Man then thinks
Life in pieces
