This is a very well written and expressive poem, Kandice, and gives a fascinating intrepretation of what is perhaps Van Gogh's finest painting. Being a fan of Vincent myself, I once visited the little town in Holland where his father was pastor of the local church and played billards on the same table he is purported to have played on in a bar in Nunen in Southern Holland. I have admired his paintings for a very long time. Your poem does great justice to 'Starry Night' It is actually the third and final 'Starry Night' he painted. There are two earlier ones, one of which I chose to be the cover of my 2nd book of poetry.
