Reunited With Loved Ones Once Again.... Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Reunited With Loved Ones Once Again....

I awake in a dark room totally vulnerable and totally alone
In the distance I see a vivid outline of rectangular light
indicating a door
Drawn towards the faint light, drawn towards its glow and
warmth
Each step towards the light mixed emotions of hope, of
anticipation, of optimism
As I reach my destination a tear starts to roll down my cheek
not of sorrow or pain but of peace and happiness for what I
hope lies on the other side
Scared yet hopeful I open the door of light in the darkness
As the door opens, I enter a room all bright white from floor to
ceiling my eyes dazzled finding hard to adjust
New outline of shapes starts to appear all blurry trying to make
out the figures that I see
Then it strikes me with euphoria who is here glowing in the
room around me
I lift my head and smile I say with tears now streaming down
my face - "Grandad and Nanny Jack and Peggy" "Uncle Terry"
"Grandad and Nanny Sid and Grace" and with a big lump in my
throat "Mum and Dad"
I tell them I love them with all my heart and how I've missed
them so
Don't want this vision to end happiness in a room reunited with
loved ones once again.
