Slow down cowboy
What’s happening to the nation
is it becoming
counterfeit
busy building obsolescence
while a dusty
Constitution molds
reconstruction I’ve heard
it called
A new
interpretation of old laws...
resounding
from the rostrum
White House
black as
coal
no depth it seems
can’t hear a heart beat
anymore
a shallow ride
for a fallen branch
from some raggedy dying tree
bumping along the surface rocks
down some lonely stream
Look at you
all decked out
in rhinestone
snap down
shirt
riding mechanical bulls
wearing silver spurs
flying balsawood
airplanes
with chicken hawk
wings
making out to
be
a macho man
'tis
of course
a
wretched hoax...
Stephen, a white house black as coal AND a moldy constitution... wow! Powerful imagery, lots of interesting concepts and very well done! ! Brian

A passionate summation of a.....once....proud society....now....in crisis!
