Restraining Order Poem by Lamar Cole

Restraining Order

She heard a noise and went to check it out.
Her deranged ex-husband had returned to kill her.
He didn't give a crap about the restraining order.
That she had gotten as he wrapped his hands around her neck.
And watched the life drain from her.
Too bad she had chosen the restraining order over a gun.
