Restless Night Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Restless Night

Rating: 5.0

Heavy hours, heavier thoughts
A great many things at stake
It might rain tonight, might not
What will the morning bring?
Relief or troubles galore?

How swift is the change!
How uncertain the future!
Strange times to be living in
Something out of a wild dream
Unimagined, unprepared for!

Nothing in our hands now
Except to bow our head and accept
The will of the Almighty
Praying for His grace
Praying for His protection

Hoping for the darkness to clear!
Hoping for a rainbow to appear!
