Human psychology so perfectly depicted.Wonderful write!
A beautifully envisioned poem shedding light on the intricacies of life and their aftermath. Thanks for sharing it here.
An interesting observation poem, restaurants are a beehive of many different people and groups, Pinter sees that there is something beautiful in these people, randomly coming and going for a fraction of a day to eat. The ending is a bit aloof to me but its still poignant. Lovely work
Don't understand why anyone would shed tears back home. A nice poem though only a suspense created at the end.
Hi Anil The poet stated in the back of a taxi. This means is the back of car on the way home. Greetings, Paul
absolutely but without any reason except the agony of loosing purse. What other aspect of crying the dramatist wanted to focus not clear yet.
It would seem that the subjects of the poem have striven to attain an appearance of beauty that evaporates, and they cry for it as they return to their ordinary lives.
Regarding Neal Beightol with submission I tell perhaps not the appearance of beauty performs here high role according to the poets merit, the poetic merit, rather I tell its a flavor of togetherness the poet tried to draw. If you say the pleasure of living together is another form of beauty, then its ok. Modern isolation perhaps the main focus to draw the reader. Thank you for your wise interaction. Regards.
very nice! keep writing! could you read and comment on my poems too? thank you.
There seems to be a note of lament and a pinch of satire.
