Rest Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

Rest

Lift off the weight for a bit,
Switch off your mind,
Put it away for sometime,
And reenergize.

Do today what you can,
Bit by bit,
Trust that eventually,
You will get to where you want.

Don't romanticize busyness,
A 21st century god.
Take breaks,
Its necessary.
Switch off from time to time,
your body needs to.

So, rest,
You are not a cyborg,
You cannot do it all today.

Rest
