Even though some memories should have been long forgotten, they keep surfacing reminding one of the ebb and flow in a relationship! Memories of sharp disagreements are not quite pleasant to remember! Still one can't help it and as Simone has rightly pointed out, they are necessary for one's emotional growth! Great write, Lemon!

Thank you so much, Valsa. Yes, this poem came from and at a time when I suspected or realized that memories really can never be truly forgotten or erased. They are around, somewhere- -often hidden. But they are there.

Beautifully inscribed on relationship constrating present and past. As human beings we need respite in spite of busy life. Let it be quoted.. For you these frivolities Offer no respite And you reply in spite 'You'll see more is said than done' Thanks for sharing.

Some relationships just never work out despite all said and done. Sometimes long after the relationship residual thoughts and feelings are replayed and examined. I guess it's all part of onwards and upwards in emotional growth that make these volatile encounters so rich, meaningful, and necessary.

Thank you, Simone. You're absolutely right. I have learned, mostly through trial and error, that all will simply not work out....if interaction is reduced to cliches...

Lovely poem contrasting the present and past. Nonetheless, man needs to find time for respite from this bustling life. It is food for thought. We need to be more doers than thinkers. Thank you.
