Respect For Dead Body Poem by Tulsi Shrestha

Respect For Dead Body

Respect For Dead Body
A poor man never perceived any respect
Through out his life when he is alive.
For his contribution to his community.
A series of so many insults, he experienced
Always humiliated & demoralised by relatives.
But when he died, society proclaimed
He deserves recognition and respect.
A corpse is enforced to carry
The load of purfumed so many garlands.
Funeral procession accompanied by thousands.
Dead soul watched hue of his own cremation.
Those who had never given any credit for
His devotion, seemed parsing him from hearts.
No doubt, they might be right
A corpse deserves more respect than alive one.
