Resilience Poem by mohanan viswambharan Nair

Resilience

My troubles were far from over
as long as I dwell here in this shelter
Egoes echoes from all corners
to stamp me down beneath their strong legs.
How can one thrive with a rose heart?

From valleys low, meadows, wide
The wind howls here and comes to collide.
Hide your pride, they gently plea,
Even if you can't caress, never hit.
Open your eyes and learn from the wind

See the fountain, calm and clear
Its water soothes and quell all fear
It guides the way and never drifts away.
Though you may not heal, remain serene
Open your heart to the fountain's sheen.

Laugh in black covered in poison,
Pierced into my heart like a rusty pin.
But I could find comfort in any season.
Even If you can't comfort me, never despise me.
With the blackened smile, the arrogant weapon.

My flaws may tempt the world to blame me.
Don't you see my strength, my inner
flame?
Shaping me now and forever
Even if I flow, don't let me part
I shall mould myself to match your heart.
