God, in His infinite mercy,
cleanses my heart of sin;
washes my mind from filth,
through all the noise and din.
Takes all the sorrow and pain,
gives solace to broken dreams;
mends places that are empty,
with waters from living streams.
Binds up the wounds with gladness,
and shelters the damaged soul;
making us a new creation,
with pieces that now are whole.
Peace then flows like a river,
as love replaces the cracks;
ridding of us excess baggage,
we once carried upon our backs.
God, in His infinite wisdom,
touts truth, both bold and bright;
throwing off cloaks of darkness,
as a path to His shining light.
