Repentance Is About Change

Repentance is about change
Is doesn't get any simpler than that
A change in my mind towards God
And a change in regards to sin's fact
A willingness to obey the Word
And to accept its authority
"Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish"
Jesus expressed most emphatically

God has a love towards people
So much so that He sent His own Son
To occupy our place on the Cross for our sin
Salvation His plan for each one
A Man of sorrows acquainted with grief
Walking His world with compassion
Always obedient to His Father's will
If only we could live in like fashion

Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish
May you fix your faith on Him today
It's always wise to obey the Master
Wise would you be now to pray
Lord help me humble myself as a child
I see Your compassion towards me is bent
I hereby trust You Lord as my Saviour
Now that I know what it means to repent!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
