Rendezvous Poem by William Deutscher

Rendezvous

Drinking it down,
bottle of wine.
Fortified,
in due time.

Feeling it now,
housewarming day.
Secrets revealed,
afternoon play.

Tying it up,
little girl bow.
Fleet-fingered summer,
ebb and flow.

Trying it on,
asking for more.
Searching for something
beyond your door.

Ending it fast,
now out of sight.
Up the street
in broad daylight.
