I like this one too. Very real, very universal experience.

Thanks, Barry, for liking. Very true. Very painful. Very sad. I guess that whatever doesn't kill you, really DOES make you stronger... maybe I have an elastic heart, like Sia.

What can I say, What can I say? So perfectly written, One stands in disbelief Of how you can be so strong, In view of your grief. You have worded, to perfection Feeling, sentiments and affection. It's never better to have loved and lost, The emotional emptiness, too great a cost! This poem, cut right through me, becoming part of my poetic treasures and will remain as such.

Great minds think alike. We STILL both belong to that mutual admiration society! This year (2017) is the 10-year anniversary of my fiance' Ed's death from cancer. I think that's why this poem came out. That, and Spring is really messing with my head! Anniversaries are always hard. Thank you for your empathy!
