Remember Me This Way Poem by Alexzandria Samonte

Remember Me This Way

Thunder's roaring
I love it when it's raining
coffee's gone cold
stories unfold

My grip's weakening
My strength is withering
My breath is fading
an autumn in spring

I want you to remember me this way
Even though I may not see you again
I don't want you to see me in pain

Remember me this way
I don't want to see you cry
The love I have to leave behind
Remember me this way

I love you and beyond
Always bear that in mind
We may not be meant to be together in this lifetime
But I carried your love and memories with me
through the river of misery

Remember me this way
I don't want to see you cry
maybe not in this lifetime

But I will wait for you at the end of the line...
