Can you recall where you were, September nine/eleven?
When all hell did break loose; from Kamikaze heaven,
In disbelief, you watched aghast… another plane, another blast.

Wow! now this is an etremely good piece. I love how you put end rhymes and then an internal one in every so often. I especially like last couplet.! ! ! great one! Brilliant work.
This is such powerful writing. Asking questions as you have floods the memories back to me so strongly. It was all surreal and tragic. Excellent poetry Alf. 10 Karin Anderson
being a new yorker, i could never forget, when two days before my birthday they destroyed the best of n.y. yet. they destroyed lives and their families with what they had done and hopefully soon they'll be under that same gun. history tends to repeat it self that much i know. for the LORD said it well ' what you reap you sow. it is a excellent poem on that freightful day. a ten
Yes, I do remember. My husband and I were vacationing on our property in Montana, no TV or phone service and our neighbor came rushing over to tell us of this horrific event. We went to his home and watched in disbelief as the world did. Thank you for this poem, Alf. A '10! ' Best Wishes, Marilyn
yes I remember where my feet stood during those days, , , reminding me even today...that the battle between darkness and light an age old battle...will yes go on for an eternity..between the Jihad(Satan) and and mankind seeking peace and love...until that day when the Supreme One has had enough...
Alf this is very skillfully crafted, well thought out, a great reminder of that tragic day with more than one perspective. I wasn't able to grasp the reference at the end to a 'savior'. Would you mind explaining? I'm thinking this might relate to your own religious beliefs but I don't like to guess.
Nostradmous said, when the new city is burning WW 3 would start.BUT, since Cain killed Abel it only grew.
I do recall..vividly where it was that i was at...greed cannot be tutored, by any amount of plans..it is a shameful wast, the human beings that say no more in voice unheard again....iip
thank you for writing this... one of my sisters was suppose to be inn the building... but sjhe stayed home.. whew! !
you linked the symbols - the role players - and of course the consequence and expertly show the answer with excellent use of rhyme well done robert
I remember all to well Alf, coming off the green-laughter around me then a dead silence of complete disbelief...even now a cold shiver runs through me. Powerful write - true facts nothing hidden - like the Big C these atrocities infiltrate silently until the deed is done. Regards Cindy
Could not bring myself to read this when I noticed the title lastnight as I knew the feelings it would stir up. As with genocide / ethnic cleansing & all the other atrocities man inflicts upon his fellow man indeed we never forget for it still goes on & on & the pain is forever in the hearts of those who have been directly or indirectly affected. How I long for the day that man puts down his weapon & picks up the plough once more. Thank you for this very real write, Regards, T
remembering 9/11 your poem did give many a things to remember.......a best write.......
I remember it well Alf my friend, I was 3 blocks away in Manhattan...when the news came through that a plane had hit the first tower...I remember, you hear yourself think for the sounds of sirens....It wasn't until they broad-cast the attacks on the news..did the full horror of what happened on the 11th...sink in..........it was devestating...the loss of life was unthinkable.....and still today, , people as the same thing......HOW? .........There's alot more to that day, that will become exposed over time......Thank you Alf for this remembrance piece to those who lost their lives, and to those who's loved ones died in the senseless acts of 9/11....may god seek justice for his children.....someone has to answer to it
