Reinvention
this is my new declaration-
i am not
who you once thought i was.
nor am i
who you want me to be.
i am different,
as i continue to discover,
as i am now my own person,
more than you would ever allow me to be.
i choose to be different,
and no one may change me from
who i am.
i am who i choose to be,
and that is my new discovery.
i have discovered
reinvention-
and my first reinvention is
me.
