Reign Solaris Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Reign Solaris

Elizabeth must remain on the throne
She has kept us from war and poverty
If she dies our future will be unknown
What happens to British prosperity

We have all benefited from her reign
This is the truth and one cannot doubt it
She has shielded us from most of the pain
Show me somebody who did not profit

Although I am a Scottish patriot
Of the queen I shall speak honest and true
She's been more beneficial than not
Look how the proletarian have grew

The golden age of Elizabeth two
Couldn't have been better for me and you
