This is one of my favorite Nika-Poems! It's really a poem created out of the limitations of our eyes and the imperfect nature of our perception. And it is admirably focused on the issue of visualization. For example, you include many words that relate to the key subject of LIGHT and they keep our minds focused intently - darken, glow, bright, outshine, dim, shadow, and of course that wonderful Latinate word refulgence, which is really very precise, and relates directly to your theme, which is the role of LIGHT in our human lives. Some readers who don't participate with the poet's vision might say this is a poem about nothing. NO WAY! It's about our reliance on light, our delight in light, our being light. The refulgence is in as well as around us.
This is lovely Nika. The beautiful transition of day into night and the artificial ligts vying to take up sun's position! But I feel theirs is a short lived refulgence, may be a matter of perspective! The sun shall soon outshine all other lights! Till then, let the other lights continue to delight in their refulgence!
