Amazing, you made me long for the times of yesteryear. The images are so vivid i felt as if i was 'seeing' the scenery thru your eyes. A tribute to the times gone and what is becoming of our world now. Thank you for sharing. I will be back. :)
I'm more of a country girl myself.. Wow.. what an unbelievable piece.. every line was as if I was seeing your words in picture form.. I'm glad I read! Take care Wendy
your poem is a good reflection of your nature loving poet's heart...thanks...10
A reflection of modern day living, so hard and bleak. You are a country boy at heart I think, not for you the tower blocks and concrete jungle, Great write 10 Lynda xx
And you know if you look into any corner of any city, this is so fitting.. Written from within your caring heart.....
I was only looking around our town centre here in Derby to see the same things happening. Shops closed, even in a new shopping centre, already on their way to looking bereft and discarded. The race of greed, the race to make money, the race to beat everyone else at whatever is up for grabs. So sad, a declining society with no where to go. Very well composed, all the components are there to describe it all. Excellently produced. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
