Early morning!
Lucky ones are still cozy in their beds.
Moon in west looks bright and beautiful.
It travelled all night just to cover the distance

Savita, (loyal showcase contributor and reader & commenter!) , i was surprised to see two Ls in travelled. i Googled it and found it listed, but NOW this computer is underlining it in red. probably it is an alternate spelling and not the commonly used one in the U.S. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ok. i Googled travelled vs. traveled and found this: Travelling is the preferred spelling in British English. Traveling is the preferred spelling in American English. Whether you're talking about travelled or traveled or traveller or traveler, these same preferences still apply. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - An unfamiliar sound travels from a distant- ......i would use distance OR add something after distant, like place or valley or building. SHALL I change it for you? [i'll leave travelled as is, but maybe paste a note after your poem about alternate spellings] I watch moon's descend behind tall oaks. .................i would use descent.............SHALL I change it? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - the ending is a little spooky. are you talking about death of individual humans? (a rhetorical question) but don't some people believe that dead humans' 'souls'(? ?) shall return in other body forms e.g. a croaking frog? ? i hope my flesh will provide a decent meal for a vulture or at least for worms! I'll post this as is for now, awaiting word as to whether or not you want me to change: distant to distance//descend to descent AND feel free to tell me if you think i'm wrong. i can be at times! ! ! it is very coincidental that i JUST submitted a 'second' poem from Annette Aitken into Section B for October, AND it also talks of a cycle of Nature. favorite lines: It travelled all night just to cover the distance From horizon of east to west end of my back yard. ...........................pretty slow fella, that moon! bri :) p.s. being short on time, and because i don't think it will bother you, i'll use this same message as a poem comment on your poem's page. :) i'll be away most of the next two days.

The reflections on morning, moon, nature, sun and much more leave a bewitching and lasting impression on a reader's mind. A great portrayal of nature's exquisite beauty. Here is a quote: Moon..... / travelled all night just to cover the distance / From my front to back yard

The night prior to dawn and the accompanying scenes are beautifully described in the back drop of the onset of winter! (The night of the 'super moon' passed without noticeable changes, as predicted) Enjoyed reading!
