I've tried 3x to leave replies for Nosheen and Bharati. Can PH please help out. THX so very much.
That's what happens to all of us at times. Life wears us out. I'd feel the same looking into the mirror unless I have tons of makeup on.
Nosheen, inner beauty is what's most important. And yours shines so brilliantly in all of your poetry.
Mirrors only reflects outside look.Look into the eyes of loving people. There are so many who will say how graceful you look..
Thank You for such a wonderful compliment, Bharati! The feeling is mutual!
Stay away from mirrors, Richard! I get a fright every time I look in one!
Kim, only you could come up with such a great funny response to this poem. Absolutely love it! Still laughing...and will be for some time! Many THX for making my day.
But your INNER BEAUTY continues to shine more and more every single day! And that's what's most important, LeeAnn!
We're al in the same boat and can't row backwards. Wearing dark glasses helps, maybe, but please remember one thing, we love you very much, anyway!
Interesting choice of words, Sandra. A rowboat moves us forward by us rowing it backwards. Remember the days of rose coloured glasses. Sandra, your closing comments reaffirm for me how great PH really is. It's one big FAMILY...so very loving and supportive!
2) THX so very much for your heartfelt comments and reminder!
Definitely not dwelling on it, Sandra. This is a progressive series that moves from worst to best scenarios.
As we age old and old most of us get this kind of feeling....nicely expressed
Thank you, Indira for your comforting words. And for your positive response.
I concur with you, Indira. Thank You for your positive response.
But they reflect only our outer self...not our inner self! The horror remains in so many people putting the emphasis on the former.
Many could relate to this reflection series. There are times when we are so exhausted that we could not even recognize ourselves. Wonderful poetic expressions, Richard.
And hopefully, out of the exhaustion come some very valuable lessons. Rose Marie, Thank You for your positivity.
Memento mori! A mirror can be so...calculating. Brilliant verse, Richard. To myfavourites.
Here's to Socrates...and immortality! Love your comments on this one, M.J.! THX so much for adding it to your favourites.
