Where are they now! !
Where are they now! !
Great men, statesmen, righteous and pur
Soothsayers and truth-sayers
Who say and will do?

Not in government - No Not There
where mealy-mouthed politicians
peddle their partisan ware.

Voters vote and for a few seconds of time
take part in a grand illusion that
government is for the people and by the people

Such utter balderdash
Rubbish to the core!

Is it not important to note:
Before blacks were free
and women could vote
the same claim was being made?

God surely knows, nothing will be for or by the people
until we get rid of these parasitic politicians.
