Red Stripes Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Red Stripes

Red stripes

First he took his hat off
Then fringe, pantaloons
Dark blue with red lines on the sides
Like Muslims, Spread on the ground
Searched his side to pray to Allah
One of the important of five times.

Turned his back to the crowd
“I’m sorry” said polite, apologized.

Then nozzle in his hand
He peed on what was sign.

“If this is to defend whom I see, have observed
I’d rather be chocked dead, up; under, lack breath.
I am a human, will not be part of this, cruel crown.”
From then he is bird, and carries homelessness…
