Red Rose
How fast the colour,
How bright and beautiful,
Lovely to look at,
Dazzling the lookers-on!
Dew drops sliding over
The petals,
Blood red petals
So dreamy and fanciful,
Artistic and imaginative!
For Rajanigandha
Under the misty night
With the stars twinkling up above,
Who the young maiden waiting for
To gift a bouquet of white fragrant blooms,
Who the strange maiden with a bouquet?
