...... A thirst in the desert waiting......; how aptly you have described the humans, angelina! But, usually one remains unaware of it, till the nagging of sub-conscious starts hitting hardly. Strange! ! !

Here, you have beautifully portrayed the Nature of an individual. You have gone deep into it and dug out nice verses. There is the difficulty for an individual when he is in intercourse with the world, as you point it out. Every individual has his own individual nature and it need not intersect with our individual nature. If we look at the situation, we can see that my Nature is quite natural for me as the other person takes his individual Nature to be quite natural. If both these Natures contain no common footing, the mental strain sets in at the level of exchange of views and ideas. We can experience our life standing only within our individual nature and not standing within another's individual nature. This is the greastest barrier that everyone faces in life. Yet we can overcome the situation by a little thought and reflection. The actual problem is that we have naturally identified ourselves with our individual nature. By changing our attitude towards this (acceptance of life is a pre-condition) , we can see that we can actually raise our gross Nature to higher levels. Udhava had this attitude and so he sought the help of his higher nature (Sreekrishna, here) for better insight of life. We are all to be Udhavas for better mental evolution but we haven't the proper attitude for it. Actually, the Udhava Geetha is our own story but we consider him only as a legendry character. No. Not all. It applies to us very much. Actually, the illustration of Udhava has its bearing on the Bhagavad Geetha verses 'Udhareth Aatmanam...'. It clearly says, only the individual can raise his levels and nobody can really help him. This means that no teacher can really teach anybody unless the sparks happens within. Teacher is only an aid but the real process happens deep within the individual Nature of man.

As usual a great theme. We may be prisoners in our physical surroundings, but the soul is always free.
