lees, another word i was unfamiliar with! lees lēz/ noun plural noun: lees the sediment of wine in the barrel. the most worthless part or parts of something ========================= i really like this stanza: Wow! Before me is poised a chalice Full and to the brim With scarlet, bubbling liquid As elixir, suddenly lowered from Heaven! Extending my hands to hold it And drawing it close to my lips Oh! How I missed it by a whisker! By what magic By what vanishing trick From my chalice, the wine drained out Leaving not even the lees.................but did you mean As elixir or An elixer? and dropp and drop? what is the difference? yes, i KNOW! a second p. typo? ============================== i think this vivid portrayal of events is an illusion brought on by your? delirium, due to being accidentally left behind when your? family was done picnicking in the desert on desserts! or it could have been a dream. the jury is out. bri :)
This I wrote not after accidentally having been left in a desert, but after gobbling down too much of dessert as Bri usually do!
Great imagery with wonderful lines and words.....Valsa.......very outstanding.......10
I felt myself gyrating Into the churning cauldron below Was it a dream or an illusion? Reality or fantasy Who can tell? ? An outstanding poem, thoughtful and impressive...............10
Wonderful again. The words and lines in your poem gyrating like you in your fantasy or illusion. the poem moved sharply. fluent and flowing.
Reality or illusion, i thank you for selecting such a heart blowing topic, well written
profane words, kills our life, poetess tells beyond Like a tree felled, I collapsed to the ground And faintly heard the liquid
Oh! The scorching thirst with which you suffered must surely be an illusion or a terrible dream.Nice rendition. Best regards, Chandra Thiagarajan
I can also tell it.. It was really an illusion fabricated by excessive fantasising... But the piece is a verbal beauty in all its format.
Beautiful poem with fantastic expression. So touching. Nice penmanship. Lofty theme. Interesting to read.
