A selfish shellfish doesn't read, hard shell to protect its greed
Around a pearl it does curl a most self centered breed
A rose grows, its duty to its beauty, arrogance shown to the weed
Hoarded pearls we take from our chest, display them our very best
Spread them for other eyes to see reveling in their jealousy
Their treasures we ignore, with the knowledge that ours are more
Not interested in trade feeling our fortune is made
We turn down valuable jewels in exchange for flawed past accruals
Learn from other's school, trading gems learning a new tool
