Ravaged Woman (In An Archaic Doorway) Poem by james watkin

Ravaged Woman (In An Archaic Doorway)

As found within the cavity
Of an ice-hung rock.
Out of harm's way, or weather's
Inconclusive read.
A faun! And with face, affrighted.
Approached, not mine, for fear!
Whence, quick hoofing it, a centaur
Cleared a path ahead.
