I'd rather my son be a Christian than ever a Republican
I'd rather see him carry a Bible with him and not ever a loaded gun,
I would rather hear him tell the truths, and not never any lies
I'd want him to know that honesty and virtue is man's greatest prize.
I would want my son to realize that he is no better than any other man
And that no man is any better than him who has ever walked or ran,
I want him to never judge anyone just because of their belief
And no matter of their race or gender, he should always help anyone from grief.
Everyone has a right to live he will know that absolutely for sure
And if someone is in love and not hurting anyone, their belief he will insure,
I'd want my son to hate no one, just because where they came from
And I would not want my son to call a needy or a poor person a tramp or a bum.
I would want my son to be knowledgeable and also very learned as well
And I would want him to realize and recognize there is a Heaven and a Hell,
I would not want to see him fighting or being arrogant or stupid and bold
Just because unto him a lie was hatched, and then also told.
I would want my son to never rob or to steal or to never cheat
And if he gets married I'd want him honest and faithful and caring and sweet,
I would rather see my son as a Christian instead as anything other
And I would want him to care and help everyone as if they are a sister or brother.
I would not want my son to ever be known as a greedy person either
And I would not want to see him as a selfish person neither,
I don't want to ever see him worshiping an Asian elephant
That's why I'd rather see him as a Christian, which is true and relevant.
