I see the marks of my tear In your eyes As my sadness gets Reflected on your face. My smile is mirrored In your half smile and in your flutesings my breath......outstanding conceptualization. A brilliant spiritual poem relating to philosophy is so touchingly delineated. A 10

I see the marks of my tear In your eyes.... //..... Full of devotion and spiritual bliss. Great poetic offering to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balbhadra and their sister Goddess Subhadra on the occasion of annual Rath Yatra Festival. Thanks, Bharati ji.

My hearty thanks Rajnish Mangaji forb your great review of my poem.Odia culture is so intimately connected with the rituals of Jagannath temple and can be otherwise called Jagannath culture.Almost all Odia Hindu household must be having pictures of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in their Puja room and worship them daily. They regard Lord Jagannath as their very dear and near relative to whom they can open their worries and ask for blessings.

I am so glad to know about the most sacred place these deities hold in the hearts and homes of all Odia Hindu households. One of my Odia friends also told me about the process of Nabakalebara held after every 8 to 19 years (two years back it was done after 19 years) . May Lord Jagannath bless the people of this country with peace, progress and prosperity.

I've been to Puri twice in 1994 & 2010 and paid my obeisance To Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra there. Thanks a lot, Bharati ji.

A beautiful religious poem with spiritual base expressing humble desire for confluence of one's soul with the Paramatma, of which it is a minutest particle. Jarannath Rath Yatra festival most popular in Odisha has been used as a symbol of the journey of the soul through the Chariot named human body. Thanks for sharing.10+ points.

My humble thanks Ratnakar Mandalikji for kindly reading my poem and giving your valuable comment. This poem is a translation of my Odia poem 'Rathayatra'posted on this Site. I like the Odia version and feel my English translation could not properly convey all the feelings.
