Rare Comet Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Rare Comet

Came unexpected a gift
To fill a vessel unplanned
Willingly dropped in trickles
To the base of my need

Quickly filled the space
To give the vessel weight

Suddenly it went dry
A sublime gas in transit

The vessel's test got intensified
For the appetite duly is wet

Envious frown crowns the lid
As the gas condenses on another jar

A flickering love regretted
That was not meant to be
