A great write! Appreciated the way things are presented!
Sir, Ramayanam is referred as the Aadhikaavyam- the first book of poetry and Valmiki, the Aadhikavi- the very first poet of the Universe. There is at least one version of Ramayanam in every Indian language. In Malayalam we have many- right from KaNNassa ramayanam to Adhyatma ramayanam by Tunjath Ezhuthacchan. I have read somewhere that Ramayanam is prevalent in China, Myanmar and Indonesia as well. This is story of universal appeal, because, I feel, of its humanitarian and ethical messages. Thank you very much for sharing this poem.10.
Ramayana in Indian context of philosophy a great work, love the poem.
Congratulations! I saw a movie and a cartoon - beautiful and wise! thank you!
Ramayana described in brief for those of today who are ignorant of its greatness. Thanks for sharing sir. Enjoyed reading it.
I liked this poem..I appreciate you for expressing the ideas of RAMAYANA through poetry.Epic like RAMAYANA teaches us a lot in life(How to live life)
This poem gives reference to a poem I do not think I have come across which in itself is fantastic
I haven't read Valmiki's Ramayana as I don't know Sanskirit but I have read many poems of great Tulsi Das and being inspired by him I wrote a poem, Shyness of a South Asian Woman (Sita Ji) . I liked the story of Ramayana. Your poem is a nice acknowledgement of a great work of art.....................10
This is what we need now! So much injustice in the world, I feel this ethic immortalized here in my entire being. Power to the people! Adding this to my favorites!
Wow! This poem is quite amazing, I have never heard of Ramayana before, you have given an excellent portrayal of what is behind it. I like the fact that he was a hermit living in a forest, from your poem I gather that he is most respected for his creativity and philosophy - a war against injustice. Very formidable, informative and illuminating write, delighted that you have shared it! I learn so much from the many poets on PH, it is quite a learning experience and I enjoy it very much. Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem: Age - Old Dilemma, definitely appreciate it. RoseAnn
magical realism, final victory, heart touching, thanks. Jay SriRam.
Ramayana is most popular epic to which maximum percentage of people of India are well conversant about whether literate or illiterate what ever be the caste creed race religion or society of India. I think there may not be any other epic of the world which greets the maximum percentage of their inhabitant. A beautiful write.
Epics have a universal appeal To love the humanity.........................nowadays we forget its importance......nice sir
Indian philosophical thought to a great extent has evolved from epics like the Ramayana... This book on the war between good and evil and the final victory of good over the evil has influenced thousands of minds besides being a great religious scripture! This tribute to Ramayana is in keeping with the spirit of Ramayana month! Enjoyed! !
The Ramayana though a long epic story having a lot of action exhibits great Indian philosophy......compressed beautifully in epic poem...................
