Thank you, Smoky Hoss... I am grateful that you could navigate to my wall--I have problems navigating this site these days--seems to be unplugged a lot!

Not just a poem but a wonderful poem. I liked the way the poetess has put spotlight on significant effect, influence and impact of rain on joyful life of people in general and the poetess in particular.

Safely tucked under my parents wings, heart free to explore and play and snuggling in when the reigns of thunder come rumbling through and feeling the love that surrounds you! ..

The first five lines of your third stanza impressed me a lot. Moreover, wonderful reminiscence of the memorable days of the past at family home amidst pattering of rain makes this poem endearing. Loved reading this beautiful poem.

I sometimes return to this great verse. Today I noticed it may express what we all want for the coming new year...a reset, a return to old, familiar days and ways. Perhaps 2020 will find its 'washing' in the very near future. A great and timely verse, Susan.

Yes! ! ! ! Cowboy, I agree! Maybe we find comfort in repetition because as children we kept our Mothers by our sides longer by asking them to read a story to us over and over again!

There is something very pleasing and soothing in the gentle repetitions of this poem. I like this a lot! Will read more or yours.

Susan, Very heart felt message that left me warmer. " raising my Que Sera Sera song to the falling rain washing the world green around me." ~~~ " I lived safely tucked under my parents' wings listening to the reign of thunder rumbling in the hills" . Moments to remember, poetry at its finest. QtR
