Rain. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Release of water drops
from clouds in the sky,
downpour is indispensable
for survival of life.

Cooling, cleaning, hydrating
are possible due to rain.
Want of it on the earth
turns lives in vain.

Birth, growth, life sustenance
production of grain,
hydroelectricity, water supply
are dependent on rain.

Scenery, greenery, watering the wild
are the contributions of rain,
farmers become much elated
busy in cultivation.

Part and partial of water cycle
replenishes lost water.
is a perennial source of water
through out the Nature.

All life forms in the creation
mirthful after a drencher,
Peacock dances displaying feathers,
heralding a shower.

Crores can live years together
deprived of love, affection,
not a single can live peacefully
without the drops of rain.

Rain symbolises good luck
in many cultures in our globe,
definitely pitter-patter of rain
calms the brain lobes.

Pros and cons are always there
in every system of nature,
the optimistic speak high of it,
pessimist call it a destroyer.
