I am tickled to hear such enthusiasm in a comment! ! ! thank you Dillip! ! ! ! !
Your this poem made me feel much cosier and to dream further. This is really beautiful.
and dreamed of once-upon-a-times by the light of the fire and all the once-upon-a-whispers a long rainy time ago. We can see here 2 different images: Animated poetic images of things around us and static images of the poet. I know The crow here is completely different from Edgar Poe's crow. But Why did the poet take this particular picture?
ah, not a reference to the bird so much as a reference to the gait of the rain resembling a crow-hopping horse [rather gentle bucking of a horse- easiest buck to stay on a horse with]. I can see how that must have been confusing to set down in the middle of a pleasant cheerful poem! ! ! !
Part 2 This is the essential question for reading what is inside Subconscious of the poet, This makes us admire her work, and in the end of reading it make us think about more than one interpretation of the poem, brilliant I have enjoyed it..every success, keep writing and stay blessed...10++
Thank you for reading my work and setting your brilliant mind to work on them- -you make me mind my p's and q's, kind sir! ! ! !
Susan here is so closed to the mother nature; even though she is as a great poet still dreaming...well done and 10 for this favourite poem...all the best 10/10
I snuggled deeper under the weight and warmth of the blanket and dreamed of once-upon-a-times by the light of the fire and all the once-upon-a-whispers a long rainy time ago.......touching expression. Marvellous poem,
Loaded with nostalgia. Such rich imagery is present in this wonderful work! Well done my friend!
Beautiful expressions pouring down like rain. Susan, you poem came trotting, crow hopping, cantering, stampeding, galloping and splasing all over me. I am drenched and cleansed. Now i can go to sleep and dream of all my favourite things. A fascinating poem that i wish to read again and again.100+++
Geeta your comment is delightful! ! ! Rather Mary Poppin-ish! ! ! ! ! Thank you
Rain always motivate mind of poets. Deeper under the weight and warmth of the blanket we dream and feel about rain and its song. Revisiting this beautiful poem values more.
Rain contains so many moods- - homesickness, happiness, warmth, estrangement, childhood memories, aging thoughts.... love rain- it's so multi-dimensional!
What a fantastic expression on rain! Highly imaginative and touchy with love. I appreciate this poem. Thanks for sharing.10
How well you have described and captured the rain in a very creative uplifting way with likening it to a horse's gait. very much enjoyed this write Susan.
I must admit I had more fun with it than a writer should probably have. ;)
I enjoyed this poem and great deal because I love rain, and yes your thoughts are certainly common among many.
Beautiful write Susan. This poem captures not only the beauty of rain but also many things surrounding it which comes in the mind of a poet.
Thank you, Geetha. It was fun for me to write this using horsey verbs and then make an abrupt U-turn in the last nostalgic lines of the poem. I am glad you enjoyed!
Your diction is a complete delight. Viva your poetic ingenuity! Lovely poem Susan.
I'm glad this poem trotted right into your heart! ! ! It was fun to write a playful poem!
hey, susan! i like this one. your background with horses comes through and serves you well here in the variety of verbs that describe how rain reacts with the environment. and i like and relate to the warmth of the poem's close. thank you! glen p.s. the close of my heart song which begins the sun is lacking has a similar feel to the close of your poem. -g
I'm glad you enjoyed this romp- I had a lot of enjoyment fitting a horse's movements into this poem about rain and as I often do, I turn a bit serious at the close. Thank you, Glen! !
This IS SO Beyond Wonderful! ! ! Oh My Heart! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Love This! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Adding To Favorites! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Beyond 10S! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Thank You So Much For Sharing This Susan! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
