Her first book of poetry, This Kind of Bird Flies Backward, was published in 1958 by Hettie and LeRoi Jones' Totem Press. Amazing book! She was 25 years then, how great life she led, since she chose to be a poet. This is the greatest thought-0provoking poem I ever read 5 Stars full
