a very interesting..story almost in a senryu...i thought the man's sigh was b'coz he was missing the love from his wife...a simple one as that with so much thought and emotion gives a feeling ' well that is life'....good senryu

This is one of those little senryu poems that packs a big punch, Sandra. First, it is flawlessly written with the proper number of syllables in each of it's three lines. But the great thing about this senryu is that it is very thought provoking and says far more than just it's seventeen syllables do. Your words reveal a life of a man suffering at his wife's mean spiritedness, that this man is inadequate compared to her past lovers. No doubt she sings numerous times every day! Carl.

This Senryu makes me think. Sometimes famous men fall in love with a woman who fascinates them, even though they have had a colorful past. Quiet acceptance is easier than facing harsh criticism. Well done Sandra. 10 Karin Anderson
