A bitter truth nicely descibed in a thoughtful poem.

Hi Josey, Marvelous poem. Just the right words at the right place: You dump them now, for they need help, For you want to enjoy, your world. ... and The final warning: : Beware, decades will fly past you! You too will turn, grey and white too! Offspring of you will shine like you, ‘And throw you out, as you did too’. Great reading. Thank you.

A grave warning! Yes, what one sows, he will reap! If one takes good care of his ailing parents, he too will be taken care of by his children in his infirmities. At a time when each one thinks of his own comfort alone, this kind of reminders are necessary! In our culture it is always... 'Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivom'! Thanks for this great message!

~~~A parent's lament for eons. It seems in my country, old age is ignored at best and not revered as it should be. Thanks for sharing~~~
Thinking about own merit is definitely beautiful in this poem. Reading quick sand gives more happiness. Although conflict persists in between old and new generations still this poem is nice for awareness. Nicely penned poem shared really.
A real bold treatment of the subject. The poem brings into focus the conflict between the young and the old generaion. Is it what we call a generation gap or a total lack of concern for our parents and grand parents- a travesty of blood relations.
Wow a powerful poem that should have a great effect on thoughtless and careless and thankless spoilt kids who have no regard for parents. This is a precious taunt that such kids deserve and should heed. Kudos for meaningful poetry. I do hope u review my latest poem too.
