sometimes the public fails to recognize the value of a well researched and profound work...they prefer reading the trite writings that don't challenge their minds. good ryhme all the way through..I think most writers and poets may feel the same way your character McCann felt.. especially when they write a great book that doesn't catch on with the public and becomes a best seller...
