Part - 2 the questions and died on thirst. Yudhistira could answer the mysterious questions and came out from puzzle and save the lives of his brothers. Dear Bharati madam, you have so wisely shared this poem here with a nice story from Mahabharata. So interesting that I have made second visit to this poem. Thanks again. Throws questions

Part - 1 Like the' YAKSHA' of' Mahabharat' We always ask ourselves Some we find answer Others remain mysteries And we die of thirst......nice example in favor of puzzle in life. Except Yudhistira all his four brothers didn't answer

I believe, the poet is teasing the readers. Behind Yaksha and Mahabharat, she deftly hides the Tadhagat, Sri Buddha, to who the poem truly alludes. Great work. Insightful.

Your last three lines succinctly express the human condition. Unless we take refuge in some revealed religion, life is a puzzle and we are thrown into a universe we cannot possibly comprehend. What I love about poetry is that it doesn't try to comprehend the whole but rather seeks to appreciate and find fulfillment in immediate things we can fully embrace. Like the sun in your poem, or the parrot in another. Or a great work of literature like the Mahabharata or my favorite, that most ancient work of human imagination - GILGAMESH. These works and the poems we are writing now are indeed what quench our thirst for meaning and belonging.

The answers to the most profound questions in life are as straight as a jalebi perhaps.. We spend a lifetime within a puzzle, a labyrinthe of questions that haunt us at day and late in night... Always willing to escape this labyrinthe.. But maybe it's better to just accept it.. Icarus tried the GREAT ESCAPE with his GREAT EXPECTATIONS only to die... Thank you Bharti.. A thought provoking poem that posed a question rather than answers (depending on interpretations of course) ...

Yudhistira could answer all the many questions of the Yaksha, but has a doubt regarding its real nature.. Then, the Yaksha reveals himself to be Yama-Dharma, the god of death, Yudhistira's father... :) - Indeed, your poem is a source of pleasure, Bharati.. Thanks for sharing Cheers

Life itself is the most simple as well as most intricate and intriguing puzzle. Many sears had performed even life long penance to understand it fully. Some got answers to sizable number of questions and by explaining life they became Mahatmas in the eyes of others. As far as common man, he is often intrigued by motley puzzles presented by life in long run and he surrenders to some divine //spiritual form to seek respite. Nice poem. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
