What a powerful poem! Tears do indeed flow, takes courage to write a poem like this, it is truly touching, I wrote one for a childhood friend called Mirage, if you would like to read it, anyway...very good poetry

Another life has passed today, very heart wrenching for soul to swoon, too poignant yet, a clear cut warning against drug addiction, when no one is there to bail out, thanks for sharing!

Addiction is a terrible master, leaching away all of life's treasures, and then life itself. A compelling and profound writing that serves as a powerful, poetic warning. Thank you for sharing this, and congratulations on Poet of the Day.

Drugs not only ruin a person but it destroys a family and even society. Your message here is clear- to root out this evil. Very nice. Congrats.

Every single time that I hear that song, I think of Jimi, all the celebrities, all the drug users and friends who have died as a result of drug use. What a waste! Your poem is a fitting tribute to the tragic loss of human lives. It is very worthy of Poem Of The Day! Congratulations!
