Great write, with questions left unanswered we dream of the dead they are part of our being as we struggle to find answers for what's in store for us, as the dead awaits us with their souls ready to embrace us all!

I like your challenge for the dead and to bring them to life for who they were. We all can struggle with this at times. I remember friends and family no longer with us and would like to remember them for who they were and what they meant to me. Thankyou for the poem.

November is approaching and here, in Italy, Nov.2 is the the Day of the Dead. Therefore, your well penned poem is remembering a tradition, along with the very memories of the dead.. '' In the void of their absence but With their solemn, silent presence '', and... '' Defining our death and life / And purgatory to us! '', as you write. Thanks for sharing, dear Afrooz Blessings p.s.: Defininfg - a typo ;)

So interesting! I had never heard of that! Let me dedicate this to all great Italians who lived in our world and left it in the void of their absence! Thank you for the information and for pointing out the typo (now corrected) ! Long live

Verily, the memories of the dead are the great memoirs that linger in our minds and someone may be there which is not yet realized by us
