Pumpkin Seen Poem by Trevor McLeod

Pumpkin Seen

The pumpkin's eyes
are rarely seen
without your visions
imagined dreams

When edges cut
around the eyes
are slots for murder
man grows wise

When all who rate
the pumpkin's smile
are offering fate
a place defiled

For every man
has cuts his own
When going through life
a hallo'd drone

When what is life
but Halloween
When strangers walk
the pumpkin seen

Pumpkin Seen
