Protected Flame Poem by Drew Bailey

Protected Flame

Rating: 5.0

Glowing for all to see,
one feeling overpowers all,
a bright but puny fire,
hidden in the dark,
prevails eventually, always,
to let the light
see through the dim, gloomy fog.

But one must be swift,
to avoid the winds that come through the opaque fog,
for they will blow your flame away.

Although, with wind,
fog lifts above sight,
showing more light than ever
to beam down around you.
